OUR MISSION
To provide the community with fresh, local and sustainable organic foods and goods while providing a warm and comfortable atmosphere to shop in.
To support small local farms, small distributors and small manufacturers who are struggling in these times of "chain" merchandising by purchasing their high quality products for our customers. To consciously weigh each decision we make concerning what products we offer – environmentally, ethically and globally, and encourage our customers to do the same with their buying power. To welcome customers as part of our "family" and to provide a setting in which, by supporting our business, they are helping to sustain people who live and work in their community.
CHRISTINA: OWNER
I look like I'm affectionate, but I'm not. I'm from Florida, but you should not hold that against me. I have 5 cats. I like bad 80s music, long walks on polluted Florida shorelines, and am perpetually "liver flushing". I have the cutest cats out of everyone.
CHIQUI: MANAGER
I don't like to talk about myself, so let's make this brief: I'm from England, but only kind of. I'm a potter. I'm the manager of Pumpkin's. I'm tiny but can kick like a mule. If Bob Dylan came into Pumpkin's I would tell him that I like him a LOT.
ZEB: RESIDENT BLUE COLLAR
It's inconsequential where I'm from, since I know where Im going. I make a film. I fall down a lot. I eat enough dairy products to stop up an entire ecosystem. I hope to be a success one day and wear a tie. Housewives love me. I lean towards excess. I save money by not keeping my cellphone on.
DAVE: TRAITOR, LEAVER, RUINER
Why do we have to write this? Im a Cancer. I'm as sensitive as an entomologist. What? Music is what its all about. Im not sure but Im certain that is true. I just moved to New York. I like it. Yeah. Do you think I should stay here? I dont know...maybe...
CELIA: AUNT, THIEF AND CHILDHOOD INNOCENCE RUINER
Celia likes candy. Celia babysits her young angelic grandsons. Celia crumples up candy wrappers then throws them onto the sidewalk in front of her grandsons. Celia is a terrible influence on the children of America.
